The clock is ticking for our climate, one brain is not enough to save the world. We are living in an age of dialogues, exchanges and collaborations to brainstorm the best climate solutions for a sustainable future. Below are ways we can collaborate to amplify our impact.
V’air Sustainability Education
V’air Sustainability Education is a youth-based environmental education organisation I co-founded in 2015, aimed at promoting sustainability through transformative nature-based learning and place-based experiences. We organise a range of ecotours, environmental education workshops, seminars and events for different institutions and corporate clients, for them to reflect on nature-based solutions and climate resilience. We also have a research and advocacy arm to conduct policy studies and research reports for the government, corporate and other clients on topics related to sustainable tourism, nature conservation, rural revitalisation, energy decarbonisation, climate policy.
Our standard tour packages can be found at https://www.vairhk.com/tours-and-workshops. For quotations or other enquiries, write us an email at hello@vairhk.com. Feel free to contact me directly at natalie@vairhk.com.

Research Collaboration/Presentations
As an MPhil graduate at University of Oxford, my research interests lie in climate resilience, electricity reliability, energy policy, decarbonisation and net zero. My MPhil research was a ~30,000-word thesis entitled “Accelerating Carbon Neutrality in Chinese Cities: Sensitive Intervention Points for Energy Supply and Demand Sectors in Beijing and Hong Kong”, supervised by Professor Myles Allen and Dr Matthew Ives. The research earned distinction from the School of Geography and the Environment at Oxford.
To foster cross-cultural learning, I have collaborated with Dr Jay Doorga on solid waste management in Mauritius, through integrating Hong Kong’s experience as an island. The research was published in the Journal of Cleaner Production, entitled “A geospatial approach for addressing long-term solid waste management issues: Extracting value from waste”. Through geospatial analysis, the research explores the best site for solid waste treatment facility of the island and the potential of generating clean energy from the waste. Prior to that, I have published an article on “Reliability and resilience in a regulated electricity market: Hong Kong under Typhoon Mangkhut” in Utilities Policy with Professor Yuan Xu in 2020.
I am keen to collaborate with academics and organisations for research projects, journal articles or presentations. Please reach out to me on Research Gate.
What about Nature?
The path to extraordinary is open to anybody at anytime.
Larry Brilliant, Founder of Google.org
Nature is our biggest ally and greatest inspiration. If we don’t like climate action, the collapse of our civilisations and the extinction of much of the natural world is on the horizon.
Sir David Attenborough, Natural Historian
It’s important for me to have hope because that’s my job as a parent, to have hope, for my kids, that we’re not going to leave them in a world that’s in shambles, that’s a chaotic place, that’s a dangerous place.
James Cameron, Film Director
