He and Priyal are the first two Mauritians admitted to the programme since its establishment over 20 years ago. Jay has always inspired me with his research rigour, intelligence and diligence. Little did we realise he was completing a PhD at…

Opening up about my climate story

What’s your climate story? How did it all start? I was inspired by a Hong Kong woman polar explorer Dr Rebecca Lee when we interviewed her for a project on “Climate Change – What can we do?” in primary five. Her analogy of climate change, that the earth is trapped in a microwave, sparked my…

Celebrating #HERoes – Women panels at Singapore FinTech Festival and Sibos 2021

“Startups with at least one female founder only received 2.3% of global venture funding in 2020, but they often end up being more profitable. Women founders are underfunded yet they over-deliver.” – Helene Li and Virginia Wilson, two inspiring women leaders shared on our panel at the Singapore FinTech Festival 2021. Glad to be part of the panel “Women in…

Public Engagement on the Control of Single-use Plastics

We are in the fight of our lives, and this fight must be won.” UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres The above is UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres’…
